We’re absolutely thrilled to have Steve “Skinny” Felton, the founding member and drummer of Mushroomhead, proudly sporting Barmetal! In this snapshot, you can see his infectious enthusiasm for our “Smoking Lady” tee, and we couldn’t be more delighted.
“Skinny” stands as the visionary force behind Mushroomhead, a seminal Ohio band that traces its roots all the way back to 1993. Renowned for their enigmatic stage presence, clad in distinctive boiler suits and elaborate masks, Mushroomhead carved their path to fame with a signing to Universal Records and the release of their seminal album ‘XX’ in 2001. The album boasted the chart-topping single ‘Solitaire/Unraveling’, catapulting Mushroomhead into the limelight.
In 2003, they followed up with the release of ‘XIII’, featuring the anthemic powerhouse ‘Sun Doesn’t Rise’. Throughout their illustrious career, Mushroomhead, with a lineup that has seen more rotations than a revolving door, has remained at the vanguard of innovation. Seamlessly blending elements of alternative, industrial, hip-hop, and techno into their experimental metal, Mushroomhead has continuously pushed the boundaries of genre conventions.
Their 2014 release, ‘The Righteous and the Butterfly’, marked a significant milestone for the band, soaring to number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart. Undoubtedly, Mushroomhead’s theatrical live performances have left an indelible mark on audiences worldwide. This August and September, Mushroomhead is set to ignite stages across America as they headline the Summer of Screams Tour, sharing the bill with Powerman 5000, The Browning, Psychostick, Kissing Candice, Unsaid Fate, and more. Get ready for an electrifying spectacle like no other!
